Whether we’re cheering on local athletes at a sponsored game, volunteering with grassroots non-profits, or providing essential pro-bono services to our veterans and underserved neighbors, our mission remains the same: to serve. We are proud to invest our time and resources into building a brighter, more supported future for every family in our community.
This page is a reflection of the people, the causes, and the local spirit that inspire our work every day.
A look at where we’ve been and the neighbors we’ve met along the way.
Our team spent the morning at Father Joe’s Villages, a cornerstone of San Diego’s support system, assisting with their daily lunch service. Seeing the sheer scale of their operation firsthand was a powerful reminder of the resilience of our neighbors and the importance of a warm meal.
Their Impact:
Join the Service:
One shift makes a measurable difference. If you have been looking for a way to give back to the heart of San Diego, we highly recommend signing up for a service shift. Your time is the most valuable resource you can give.

At Burgos Santoyo Smith, we believe that real impact comes from consistency. This month, our team returned to Mama’s Kitchen to assist with their daily operations.
Seeing the scale of their medically tailored meal program a second time only deepened our respect for their staff. It’s a powerful reminder that when we look out for one another, the whole city gets stronger. We’re already looking forward to our next shift!
We had a fantastic time volunteering at the Galentine’s Yoga Fundraiser hosted by Doors of Change. Since 2001, this organization has been a beacon of hope for homeless youth (ages 17-24) in San Diego.
The Mission:
Supporting San Diego families includes standing up for our most vulnerable youth. See how you can help at doorsofchange.org.
Advocacy is at the heart of everything we do, and Elizabeth Mayberry takes that mission to the next level. We are incredibly proud of her pro bono work across San Diego and Riverside.
Elizabeth advocates for our military members through the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), ensuring active-duty personnel have their rights protected in court while they serve our country. From safeguarding housing to ensuring fair legal processes, Elizabeth is a champion for those in uniform.
We again kicked off the New Year by rolling up our sleeves at Feeding San Diego. It was another eye-opening experience seeing the logistics required to rescue food and redirect it to those in need.
Our “Shift Stats”: During our time in the Reclamation Project, we processed 531 lbs of bread and 625 lbs of tomato sauce for the onsite Marketplace and Mobile Pantries.

The holiday season is about more than just celebration; it’s about connection. Our team spent the morning with Mama’s Kitchen, an organization that has been a lifeline for San Diegans facing critical illnesses since 1990.
Their Impact:
No one should have to face a health crisis and hunger at the same time. Learn how to get involved at mamaskitchen.org.
We traded our suits for sunscreen to celebrate the 41st International Coastal Cleanup Day! Partnering with I Love A Clean San Diego and several sections of theSan Diego County Bar Association, our team headed to De Anza Cove to help keep our coastline sparkling.
The Mission:
Thinking of Joining the Next Cleanup? Events like this are a great way to get outside and make an immediate impact. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, wearing sturdy shoes (no sandals!), and plenty of SPF. Remember, minors are always welcome but must be supervised by a guardian.

Our team kicked off the year by heading over to Feeding San Diego to support their incredible mission of ending hunger in our community. We spent the morning working alongside their dedicated staff, getting a firsthand look at the massive coordination required to distribute meals across the county.
Why We Show Up:
Join the Movement: Feeding San Diego relies on volunteers every single day to keep their operations running. Whether you’re an individual or a local business, we highly recommend signing up for a shift. It’s a powerful way to make a tangible difference in just a few hours.

We are constantly looking for new ways to show up for San Diego. If you have a local cause or an upcoming event that needs a helping hand, we’d love to hear about it.
While we are a small office with a modest donation budget, we have plenty of “heart and hustle” to share. If you have a local cause that needs volunteers, advocacy, or awareness, we want to hear from you!
